Synopsis
In a sleepy Midwest town, senior Danny Vesper pours every ounce of his uncool passion into a cringe-worthy production of 'Romeo & Juliet.' When a clip of his balcony death scene explodes online, LA producer Mona Vale sees gold and flies him out to star in her ultra-low-budget alien romance. Danny's refusal to dial it back clashes with the jaded crew, yet his contagious sincerity starts infecting everyone on set. As the film careens toward release, Danny must decide if owning his high-school-theater soul will save the movie or doom his shot at belonging.
