Synopsis

In the neon-drenched sprawl of Neo-Shanghai, Jax "Ghost" Rivera discovers Seedance 2.0, a forbidden fusion of parkour and hypnotic choreography that lets dancers rewrite physics mid-air. What begins as viral rooftop battles escalates into a city-wide uprising when the government bans the style. Jax must rally a fractured crew of misfits to stage the ultimate Seedance spectacle atop the forbidden Spire, broadcasting their defiance to the world. As rival crews turn on each other and corporate enforcers close in, Jax confronts the dark origin of Seedance 2.0: it was engineered as a weapon. Torn between raw talent and moral cost, he chooses liberation over legacy, igniting a final synchronized assault that rewires the city's power grid through pure movement.

INT. ABANDONED ROOFTOP - NIGHT

Rain slicks rusted AC units. JAX (20s, wiry, hoodie soaked) sprints, vaults a pipe, twists mid-air. He lands in a crouch, then explodes into Seedance 2.0: every flip syncs to an unseen beat, feet tapping invisible rhythms that make gravity stutter.

JAX
(seedance chant)
Two-step the ledge... plant the seed...

Sirens wail below. A DRONE swivels. Jax doesn't run—he dances at it, flipping over the lens, planting a coded tag that shorts the feed. He vanishes into neon fog as the city lights flicker like applause.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS
Crowds below stare up, phones raised. A single Seedance clip already trending.

Why now

In an era of surveillance fatigue and TikTok-born revolutions, audiences crave stories where physical expression literally topples systems; Seedance offers visceral hope that our bodies can still outrun control.

EXT. BELLEVILLE WATER TOWERS - DAWN

Concrete gray towers rise against the first sodium-orange light. A lone figure in a faded black hoodie sprints along the rusted rim of the nearest tank. Sunflower seeds rattle inside the worn chalk bag clipped at his waist.

BASTIEN LECLERC vaults the gap. His scarred knuckles flash. The bag bounces. A thin stream of seeds spills, catching the dawn and glinting like scattered green sparks before they drop into a cracked vent below.

He lands, rolls, and keeps momentum. Chalk dust and rust flakes swirl under his canvas pants. The camera tracks low, following his footfalls across narrow planks laid between towers. Each step knocks loose more seeds that tumble into the vents and HVAC units.

Bastien plants one hand on a corroded ladder rung, swings his legs over a chain-link fence, and drops to the next roof. The seeds keep spilling in a steady rhythm. Tiny shoots already push through the rust where yesterday’s drops landed.

He sprints along a narrow ledge, vaulting a rusted pipe. The bag swings wide. A burst of yellow seeds arcs through the air and lands in a broken skylight. Pale green shoots flex upward in the sudden light.

Bastien pauses for two silent beats on the edge of the final tower. Below, the city stretches in concrete and distant glass. He catches his breath, wipes chalk from his palms, then flicks one last handful of seeds into the open mouth of the water tank. They rattle down the metal throat and disappear.

The hoodie shifts as he exhales sharply. He turns, spots the next plank, and runs.

EXT. BELLEVILLE WATER TOWERS - DAWN

Dawn light cuts sodium orange across rusted iron tanks. Concrete gray rooftops stretch toward glass towers in the distance. A black hoodie vaults from the adjacent plank, chalk dust and sunflower seeds spilling in a pale arc that catches the first rays.

BASTIEN LECLERC lands hard, rolls across the grit, and springs up. Scarred knuckles brush the tank wall for balance. His faded hoodie pockets sag with seed packets. Canvas pants carry fresh rooftop dust from the night run.

He stops at the cracked HVAC vent. Rust flakes cling to the metal lip. Bastien unclips the worn chalk bag from his waist, dips two fingers inside, and flicks a handful of seeds into the dark vent. They rattle against the inner walls.

Tiny green shoots already push through the rust at the vent's base. Chlorophyll neon brightens against the iron. Bastien watches one shoot thicken, leaves unfurling in fast, silent pulses.

He pulls the cracked phone from his pocket. Seedance 1.0 glows on the screen. The growth meter ticks upward one notch. Bastien exhales sharp, pockets the device, and moves along the narrow catwalk between towers.

Wind carries the faint rustle of new leaves from the vent. Bastien vaults the next gap, seeds rattling again inside the bag. He lands, checks the skyline where Strand cranes already stand silhouetted, then drops to plant another cluster between two HVAC units. Shoots rise.

EXT. ADJACENT ROOF - DAWN

Sodium vapor lamps still hum against the fading teal sky. A black hoodie vaults the final gap between water towers. Bastien Leclerc lands in a low roll, chalk dust and sunflower seeds scattering across rusted iron. Tiny green shoots already push through cracks in the HVAC vent where he flicked seeds minutes earlier.

Nico Vale sits on the ledge, orange reflective vest glowing under his torn denim jacket. He sprays a fine mist over a row of sprouting herbs wedged between two vent pipes. His metal water bottle rests at his feet.

BASTIEN
You’re still here.

NICO
(quick laugh)
Patch dropped while you were running. Whole crew’s phones lit up green. You didn’t update.

BASTIEN
Not tonight.

Bastien wipes sweat from his scarred knuckles, breath sharp. Below them the first cranes of Strand Dynamics catch the dawn light, steel arms already swinging over the block.

NICO
They’re bulldozing in six days. You want to fight concrete with yesterday’s vines?

BASTIEN
(exhales)
My mother’s balcony is three roofs over. I’m not dragging her into another chase.

Nico stands, boots scraping tar. He flicks the spray bottle cap closed and steps closer, voice dropping into that banlieue rhythm.

NICO
Look at what’s already pushing through. Every vault you stuck last week is feeding something now. The city grows where we land, not where they plan.

Bastien stares at the skyline. A single sunflower unfurls from the vent behind him, petals catching sudden yellow against the gray concrete. The cracked phone in his pocket pulses once, neon green bleeding through the fabric.

NICO
(quieter)
You keep running solo, they’ll just pave over the shoots. We do it together, the roots get deeper than their permits.

Bastien’s shoulders stay tight. He pockets the phone without looking at the screen, then nods once toward the next plank bridge.

EXT. BELLEVILLE WATER TOWERS - NIGHT

Sodium vapor lamps cast orange streaks across rusted iron tanks. Chalk marks streak the planks between towers. A faint rustle of wind moves through cracked HVAC vents already dotted with young herbs.

BASTIEN LECLERC lands in a roll, seed packets rattling in his hoodie pockets. He rises, dusts canvas pants, and scans the rooftop grid. Nico follows two vaults behind, metal water bottle clinking against his torn denim jacket.

BASTIEN
We hit the vents first. Two packets each.

NICO
(laughs once, short)
You always say that like the concrete cares about order.

They kneel beside a vent unit. Bastien tears open a sunflower packet, sprinkles seeds into the rust-stained filter, then presses soil from a small pouch over them. Nico sprays mist from his bottle, the droplets catching the orange light like brief green sparks.

BASTIEN
This block dies in six days if we miss one spot.

NICO
Then we don’t miss. You checked the meter lately or you just like carrying that cracked brick?

Bastien pulls the phone. The Seedance 1.0 screen flickers, numbers ticking slow. He taps the growth bar twice. Nothing new blooms yet. He exhales sharp through his teeth and pockets it again.

They move to the next vent, footsteps echoing off the water tower skin. Bastien drops another handful of seeds. Tiny shoots already push upward from yesterday’s work, pale green against the gray metal.

NICO
Your mother still thinks we’re just kids jumping fences?

BASTIEN
She’ll think what she thinks. The vines don’t ask permission.

NICO
True. Still. Six days. You sure one app update changes concrete?

Bastien stops at the tower ladder. He grips the rung, stares at the distant glass towers where Strand cranes already stand outlined in floodlights. The phone buzzes once in his pocket, screen glow faint green through fabric.

He climbs. Nico follows, spray bottle swinging. Seeds rattle steady with each step.

EXT. BELLEVILLE ROOFTOPS - NIGHT

Bastien Leclerc lands on cracked tar, knees absorbing the drop. Sodium vapor lamps paint the rooftop orange. His faded black hoodie clings to his wiry frame, seed-packet pockets bulging. He rolls forward, one hand slapping the surface for balance.

He rises into a fluid run, canvas pants stirring dust. At the first HVAC vent he pauses, fingers dipping into the chalk bag at his waist. Sunflower seeds rattle as he sprinkles them into a hairline fissure. Tiny shoots already push through rust-brown concrete.

Bastien vaults a low pipe, legs tucking tight. Mid-air his hand flicks another pinch of seeds into a gutter seam. He lands, exhales sharp, and keeps moving. The cracked phone screen in his pocket glows faint green, the Seedance 1.0 meter ticking upward with each planted spot.

He sprints along the parapet, sodium light catching the scars on his knuckles. Below, the street stays empty. He drops to a lower level, rolls across a flat stretch, then springs up to grip a rusted railing. Seeds spill in a thin line behind him, catching the light like brief yellow sparks.
