Rain like black oil drips through cracked stone. ECTO, 22, wild hair streaked with glowing paint, hunches over a wall, fingers trembling as he finishes a mural of a winged city. The paint pulses.

A low buzz swells. The wall cracks. From the fissures crawl translucent LARVAE with tiny crowned skulls.

He slashes the final brushstroke. The mural rips open into a portal. He dives through as the larvae swarm the empty cell. From the other side, we glimpse the true city: spires of bone and buzzing wings under a bruised sky.
