Synopsis
Detective Ray Carver wakes from blackout visions of brutal killings he did not commit. Each night the phantom link drags him deeper into the mind of a faceless murderer stalking the city. As bodies pile up Ray realizes the killer senses him too and is coming to sever the bond permanently. Racing against time Ray enlists a skeptical psychic profiler and a tech analyst who deciphers the eerie patterns. Together they trace the link to an abandoned subway tunnel where the killer first died years ago. The visions intensify forcing Ray to question whether he is hunter or prey. In a rain-soaked finale Ray confronts the spirit in its lair choosing sacrifice over survival to break the chain and save the next victim.
The story
Ray suffers first vision and discovers the link during a routine homicide; he hides the truth while the murders escalate.
The killer hunts Ray through shared nightmares; allies help trace the origin but the link begins corrupting Ray's sanity and relationships.
Ray enters the tunnel to face the ghost learns its tragic past and severs the link at the cost of his own life saving the final target.

Cold open
INT. SUBWAY TUNNEL - NIGHT Rainwater drips from rusted pipes. A flickering work light reveals DETECTIVE RAY CARVER, 38, soaked and breathing hard. He clutches his head as a SCREAM echoes inside his skull. CARVER No... not again. He stumbles forward. The beam lands on a woman's body slumped against the wall, throat slit. Carver's eyes roll back. For three terrifying seconds we share his vision: the same woman alive, running, then the blade flashing from behind. Carver drops to his knees. CARVER (CONT'D) I saw you. I felt it. A low distorted WHISPER answers from the dark. WHISPER Then you know I'm coming for you next.
