Cold open
INT. SHIBUYA CROSSING - NIGHT Hiro stands in the pouring rain holding a battered camcorder. Pedestrians blur past neon signs. HIRO (V.O.) If I only write the story my hands forget how to play. He hits record. A samurai in a business suit materializes behind him swinging a glowing umbrella like a katana. SAMURAI You abandoned me in draft three! Hiro spins the camera. The samurai vanishes replaced by a giant kaiju made of smartphone emojis stomping the crosswalk. Hiro laughs for the first time in years as the creature high-fives a confused tourist. Sirens wail. Hiro keeps rolling.
