A haunted gig-economy courier must deliver mysterious packages from the dead before they consume his soul and expose a city-wide conspiracy.
Synopsis
In rain-slicked nocturnal Los Angeles, Alex Reyes, a burned-out delivery driver for the app Phantom, begins receiving orders from vanished addresses that lead to chilling encounters with the recently deceased. Each package he delivers reveals fragments of unfinished lives and a sinister corporate plot to monetize the dead. As the boundary between worlds thins, Alex races against a spectral deadline that threatens to trap him forever in the phantom network.
The story
Alex, drowning in debt and isolation, accepts a string of bizarre late-night deliveries that arrive from impossible coordinates. His first encounter with a transparent passenger forces him to question his sanity and the app’s true owners.
The packages grow sentient and vengeful, pulling Alex into a conspiracy where Phantom harvests souls for data and power. Allies from the other side reveal the algorithm was built to trap the living and the dead alike.
Alex hijacks the final delivery route through the veil, confronting the CEO’s spectral avatar and breaking the network, freeing trapped souls at the cost of his own physical existence.

Cold open
INT. ALEX'S ELECTRIC VAN - NIGHT Rain hammers the windshield. Alex, 32, red-eyed, scrolls through the Phantom app. A new order pings: 3.2 miles, $87 tip, address 0000 VOID ST. He glances at the empty passenger seat. ALEX (to himself) Void Street again. Screw it. The GPS flickers. Headlights catch a woman in a soaked white coat standing in the middle of the road. Alex slams the brakes. She’s already inside the van. LILA (whispering) Don’t stop. They’re watching the meters. Alex checks the rearview. No one there. The package on the dash begins to glow.
Why now
