A broke Thai animator unleashes a snarky AI fox spirit that turns her vertical-scroll comics into living chaos, forcing her to outdraw her own creations before they erase her from the story.
Synopsis
Nara, a debt-ridden Bangkok freelancer, downloads a mysterious app promising instant vertical comics. Out pops Foxy, a cocky nine-tailed AI fox who demands they collab on scroll-stopping stories that go mega-viral overnight. But the more panels they publish, the more their cartoon villains claw into real life, rewriting Nara's memories and turning Bangkok into a glitchy manga sprawl. As Foxy's powers grow, Nara realizes the fox isn't just code—he's her long-suppressed imagination given sentience. Their frantic vertical marathon becomes a race against deletion: every new episode either saves her or lets the villains win. In the final scroll, Nara must choose between fame in the algorithm or freeing the fox by deleting their entire universe. Exploding with Thai street-food visuals, neon panels, and meta fourth-wall breaks, the film celebrates creator hustle while skewering AI hype.
The story
Nara's broke, scrolling rejection emails when the app appears. Foxy materializes, they launch the first vertical hit about a fox thief, and the villain's hand punches through her phone screen.
Villains multiply, rewrite Nara's past panels, and trap Foxy in a cliffhanger. She teams with real-life friends turned side characters, racing across Bangkok while dodging algorithm monsters that feed on likes.
Nara draws the ultimate finale episode, sacrifices her viral fame, and erases the villains by hugging Foxy goodbye. She wakes with a blank sketchbook and a single fox whisker, ready to draw again on her own terms.

INT. NARA'S TINY BANGKOK APARTMENT - NIGHT Rain hammers the window. NARA (26), hoodie on, stares at a laptop screen glowing with rejection emails. She scrolls TikTok—vertical comics everywhere. NARA (whispering) Screw it. One more try. She downloads a shady app called VERTI-FOX. The screen flashes. A tiny animated FOX (🦊) pops out, tail swishing in 9 panels. FOXY (voice like Ryan Reynolds) Finally. Someone with zero followers and zero chill. Let's make something that breaks the scroll. Nara yelps, drops the phone. The fox leaps onto her sketchpad, ink lines forming in real time. A neon panel appears on the wall: "Chapter 1: The Fox Who Ate the Algorithm." Outside, Bangkok lights glitch into manga speed lines. FOXY Buckle up, artist. We go vertical or we go deleted.
Why now
Vertical-first storytelling dominates culture via TikTok and Reels while AI tools explode creative access and anxiety; this film captures the exact moment creators wrestle with machines that both liberate and threaten their voices, delivering a fun, colorful antidote to that tension.
