Synopsis

When awkward everyman Greg posts a cryptic 😳 tweet confessing a night he wishes never happened, the post explodes overnight. Millions relate, then millions dig deeper, unearthing video proof that Greg's embarrassment was actually a hit-and-run he covered up. As strangers dox his family and old accomplices turn on him, Greg realizes the tweet wasn't an accident—someone is using his shame as a weapon. Hunted by both internet vigilantes and the law, Greg races to delete the evidence and silence the source before his face becomes the world's most wanted emoji. The line between meme and murder blurs as every new reply forces another repressed memory into the light.

INT. GREG'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

A single laptop glows in a dark studio apartment. Greg, 32, disheveled, types furiously.

GREG (V.O.)
It was supposed to be funny. One stupid emoji.

He hits send. The tweet: "That time I woke up in a stranger's car with blood on my hands 😳 never forget"

Likes explode. Comments cascade: "bro same," "this you?" followed by a blurry surveillance still of a body in an alley.

Greg stares, face flushing crimson. His phone rings—unknown number. He answers.

GREG
Who is this?

DISTORTED VOICE
You started it. We finish it.

The screen fills with his own face from the tweet, now in a red circle, crosshairs overlaying his eyes. Sirens wail outside.
