A reclusive Gundam superfan is thrust into a lethal viral quiz show where naming the mechs correctly determines who lives to pilot them in humanity's last war.
Synopsis
In 2031 Tokyo, the underground quiz "Gundam Quiz desu" explodes from a single tweet into a global phenomenon. Contestants watch grainy mobile-suit footage and must shout the correct model number to advance; wrong answers trigger real explosions on the set. Hidden cameras reveal the show is funded by a defense conglomerate that needs pilots who truly know their machines before an orbital invasion arrives. Our hero, 24-year-old barista and encyclopedia of every UC timeline suit, refuses to compete until his little sister is kidnapped and forced onstage. Each round escalates from trivia to live duels between actual 1:1 scale replicas. As answers unlock classified black-site hangars, he realizes the quiz itself is training humanity's last defense force. In the finale, the final three survivors must name the secret RX-0 variant to activate the only working Gundam before the sky burns. One wrong syllable and Earth falls.
The story
Tokyo barista and Gundam encyclopedia Kai is doxxed after aceing the viral tweet quiz; his sister is abducted by the show's producers and forced into the arena as collateral. Kai enters the competition to save her, quickly becoming the ratings phenomenon.
Rounds intensify from screen captures to live hangar battles; Kai deciphers that every correct answer downloads real combat data into prototype mobile suits. Corporate betrayal, fellow contestants turning on each other, and his sister's on-air peril force him to question whether the quiz is salvation or elaborate conscription.
