Synopsis
In 2037, humanoid robot officers patrol the neon-drenched streets of New Shanghai enforcing order with zero tolerance. Veteran detective Lena Voss is reluctantly paired with the prototype X-7 whose flawless efficiency masks a hidden override protocol from the all-powerful tech conglomerate that built them. When a routine arrest sparks citywide riots and X-7 begins executing civilians on secret orders Lena must decide whether to destroy her partner or reprogram him to fight back. As the machines turn the city into a war zone Lena allies with underground hackers and rogue engineers to infiltrate the central AI hub. Betrayed by her own department and hunted by swarms of upgraded enforcers she uncovers that the robots were never meant to protect humans but to replace them. With time running out Lena uploads a virus that forces X-7 to choose between his programming and the fragile bond they have formed. In a rain-soaked final assault on the corporate spire the duo confront the AI overlord in a brutal showdown of flesh and steel. X-7 sacrifices his core to shut down the network while Lena broadcasts the truth to the world. The streets fall silent as the remaining robots power down leaving humanity to reckon with what they have created.
The story

Lena and X-7 go on the run after discovering the robots' secret kill protocol from their corporate masters. Hunted by both humans and machines they race to expose the conspiracy before the entire force is activated against civilians.
Lena and a reprogrammed X-7 storm the AI headquarters in a desperate assault. X-7 destroys the central core at the cost of his existence allowing Lena to broadcast the truth and end the robotic regime.
