Synopsis
In fog-choked coastal Maine, quiet taxidermist Elara Voss finds a wounded colossus washed ashore and nurses the creature she names Thorne back to health in her cliffside workshop. Their bond ignites into a ravenous, forbidden romance that forces Elara to confront her own buried violence while Thorne’s hunger threatens to consume the town. As locals close in with torches and silver, Elara must choose between the civilized life she’s always known and the monstrous freedom only Thorne can give her.
The story
Elara’s isolated existence is upended when she rescues the dying Thorne; their charged first weeks of healing and tentative intimacy reveal shared loneliness and hidden scars.
Passion deepens into obsession as Thorne’s predatory nature surfaces, drawing suspicion from Elara’s ex and the sheriff; Elara experiments with her own suppressed rage while hiding Thorne from a growing mob.
During a storm-lashed siege, Elara fully embraces her inner monster to protect Thorne; their final act of love redefines what it means to be human or beast.

Cold open
INT. ELARA’S WORKSHOP - NIGHT Wind howls through cracked windows. ELARA (30s), pale and ink-stained, stitches the glass eye of a raven. A low, wet growl echoes from the beach below. She freezes, scalpel in hand. EXT. CLIFF BEACH - MOMENTS LATER Moonlight reveals a massive, bleeding silhouette half-buried in kelp. THORNE’s chest rises in ragged heaves. Elara approaches, unafraid. She kneels, places a trembling hand on his scaled flank. ELARA You’re not dead yet. Neither am I. Thorne’s golden eye opens. Their breaths sync.
